No Apologies Here

You may remember this piece from  here  back in March. Well I did what  I was suppose to do and lived with it for six months. Over the last two weeks I have slowly hand painted this piece white and today I’m pleased to say its all finished.  Some of you are going to scream at me I’m sure but as the heading goes I make no apologies for painting it white and I’m so pleased that I did. The pieces inside have become more noticeable and do not get lost in the pine.

It needed new hardware and some mesh on the sides.

These Hydranges are real and ready to be planted.

A gorgeous old feather eiderdown I found last week.

A old Antique Chair find.

It's beautiful. Love the white – it makes the books pop. I know it's hard to make that first contact of paintbrush to wood, but I like what you did!

I see no reason to apologize! It looks fantastic! I like it so much better white. The wood really did not show the beauty of the piece.

I really love the cabinet painted…. of course, you have the touch with all of the trimmings added. It looks much more antiqued this way.

Who would scream at you? It's so much fresher in white!! It looks great. I'm currently lining the back of all my display cabinets (teak) with light paper so that all my items 'pop' too. I love timber, but brown is just so heavy & like you say all your items get lost on the shelves. Angela
