We decided to head off for a weeks holiday and are sunning ourselves on the Northern Qld Coast. When Tim had his accident recently he was due for holidays but we never got around to having them. So now was a great time to pull the kids out of school and take in some family time. I have done a bit of thrifting as you can see and found these unreal vintage spice bottles, a gingar jar vase and a vintage suitcase.
I also got this lovely linen and cotton queen bed valance.
Check out my silver plated peanut. I was reading recently that Lauren over at Pure Style Home has the same peanut on her dresser filled with nuts so I just could not resist this when I saw if it for $8. Just needs a polish and it will come up lovely.
Have some other great posts coming about painting timber floors white. My dad has just done an amazing makeover on his stairs. I have some work happening on my kitchen which I will share with you all when I get home. For now the beach is calling.

I never did get to comment but I can't beleive our chairs are almost identical. So if they are french I really did score but if not your pics are inpsiration enough for me to make sure I keep and re upholster.
