Friday Finds

I came across this lovely bowl today that is made in Italy. I dont know if its brass or even silver under all that tarnish but can’t wait to clean it up and find out. It’s quote large and has the most beautiful pattern in the centre. Can anyone recommend a product to clean it with? brasso maybe?

Also got these gorgeous silver candle holders and rose bowl. See that trellis fanric at the front I am going to cover a lamp shade in this tonight and see what it comes up like. I have lots of pieces lined up to paint so hoping this weekend will be a productive one.

I love the pattern of your new bowl… I guess it's brass and if you like you can try some brass polish under your bowl then you can decide how to use it 😉

    Hi Sandy

Love those old tarnished pieces – looks like you found a winner! I remember polishing silver stuff ages ago, I never liked it.

I lined a drawer for silver flatware years ago and dumped all the silver polish. Everything is always ready to use –

    Have a great weekend

It looks great in your place and I like the way it is now, I would give it some thought before you do anything to it.
