Well its been quite a while since I posted here but there is something very exciting happening. Since posting these Images on my Instagram account if left you all wanting to know what was going on and was I moving into a new house.
The pink house as I called it has been our Investment property for the last ten years. We purchased this house when on holidays in Bundaberg in 2010. I just fell in love with the house and all the beautiful fretwork detail and as they say the house just had beautiful bones. We did have the intention of moving to Bundaberg all those years ago but as our lives got busy on the Gold Coast and I started my business Paint Me White the pink house was therefore put into the rental pool.
Just before Christmas 2017 our Agent advised us that the tenants were vacating, my thought initially was “great”. It’s time to give this baby some loving. As the makeover progressed and I was receiving many comments on just how gorgeous this old girl was I then had the brain. I own a furniture business and love to decorate with vintage finds, why don’t I put this beauty on Air B & B and rent her out for short term stays to like minded people who appreciate old homes and great vintage decor.
So the transformation is getting there and we have almost finished the painting of the inside. All the walls and floors have been painted. Walls in Dulux Lexicon Quarter strength and the floors due to the inconsistency of the floor boards I decided to paint in Berger Jet Dry Satin Aqua Tread. The colour is called Silver Tassel.
So as you can see the inside is looking beautiful and I look forward to decorating her with beautiful pieces.
