French Armoire

Well here she is the reason I have been a bit busy this week – all thanks to Ange who spied this beauty and made me buy it . Isn’t it just beautiful I am in love. This is my second armoire and this one is smaller than my other one so is a lot easier to move around. I was convinced when I purchased it that it wasn’t going to be a keeper but now she is all painted its going to be very hard to part with it. The inside is not finished yet as I am waiting to line with some gorgeous wallpaper but it has hanging and shelves so very practical.

This piece would go anywhere I can imagine it in a lounge, bedroom, bathroom (have to be big) or if I had an old home I would even use as a free standing pantry and that way I would use it every day. The uses are endless just a gorgeous and versatile piece for anywhere in the home.

Thinking of even adding an applique to the top just to dress it up a little.

It looks gorgeous Sandy! And I like your ideas of where it could be used, very versatile. I think and applique would look great too.

Wow, looks fantastic. Go with the applique that would really finish it off. Are you going to sell it? I may be interested? I need an armoire for my guest bedroom. Either way, great job!

Greatjob as usual sandy, I think a bit of detail at the top would really add that extra zing. what is the handle like do you think it needs an older one to give it that extra lived look?

You have done a fantastic job Sandy. I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I like it as is, nice and plain, but that's just me. Are you sure you can't fnd a corner in your house to keep it in, seems a shame to give that one up!(although I'm sure we can always find you another one:o))

To me a coat of white paint can make a piece shine, it is lovely.

What a fantastic makeover! I am currently painting up a crusty old Queen Anne style wardrobe. Hope it turns out as well as this 🙂

It looks sensational Sandy – so much better now that it's white. No wonder you want to keep it – there's no way I'd part with it! K xx
