Was very disappointed today when i set off to find that the op shop I normally visit was closed for one week of renovating. Oh well never mind. Stopped into another one instead and found a gorgeous bunch of artificial hydranges and some other pretty white flower. I have been looking at these hydranges in David Jones and they are around $25 a stem i got this whole bunch for $6. I just love flowers but if you do the artificial thing they really do have to look real otherwise can have that cheap and nasty look about them. Thought these looked unreal. Have also posted a pic of the mirror and gorgeous pot cupboard that i finished this week. Sandy x

Sandy, love the pot cupboard and the mirror is gorgeous. I have been meaning to try and find a mirror like that as I think it would look fabulous in a photo of Amy in her wedding dress next week!! Oh well, maybe I can dash around next week and find one. Hopefully everything will be done by then. I have just come in from basecoating a heap of hearts that have to be glittered for the wedding.
Gorgeous hydrangeas – such a bargain

The cupboard & mirror look great, you did a great job on them. Do you spray paint or hand paint your pieces? x

I saw a cabinet so similiar to this one. It was an old doctors office medicine cabinet. I wanted it too much.. but the price was too high for my liking. I love them for lamps and books and such.
lovely find.

I love that mirror….would look great in my bedroom. HAHA!!!
I am nodding in agreeance about the faux flowers thing. I would rather spend the money on good ones (Stoneleigh) that look the real deal that the god awful ones from the junk shops.

Hi Sandy
Funny thing I have just done a mirror the same as that one for “Miss S”. Love the little cupboard it is so cute.
Lucky find with the flowers.
Take Care.

Love the flowers Sandy, we sell similar ones at the shop I work at but we are very lucky as hydrangeas grow like weeds in our garden (good soil and lots of rain) so far we have been able to use the real ones. Not so lucky with roses though!

hi Sandy, I love all your white pieces…I haven't refinished a lot of furniture but would love to try….what is the best white paint to use and do you have to prime it first…thanks for any suggestions…hugs, Fran
