A Cute Queenslander

We are away at the moment spending time with my parents and enjoying the beautiful beaches in Northern Queensland. We are still having gorgeous weather and were actually swimming in the surf today. Started out with the normal Easter Egg hunt and then we decided to go for a walk along the beach path. That beach path really got us going as the scenery was so beautiful that we ended up walking 5 klm into town and then another 5klm back. I don’t consider myself to be very fit at all so I just know that I am going to be suffering tomorrow. The kids tell me a bike ride is in order so my bum is not looking forward to that.

Had to share with you these pictures of my cousins Queenslander on the coast at Elliott Heads. They purchased the place not long ago as an operational B & B but have kept the house for personal living only. She has done a beautiful job with a new kitchen and retained all the original french doors and flooring.

Due to the house being only 100m from the beach they decided to leave the timber window frames but replace the inside panels with aluinium – much more tolerant to the sea weather. Love that idea.
