I was back to my Friday morning thrifting and what fun I had. I don’t have a lot of turquoise around my home but yesterday for some reason I was drawn to this colour. Picked up these sweet vases for next to nothing and placed my Royal Highness rose in it. My roses are going crazy and I have blooms everywhere. I only planted a few was a test really to see how they grew and what the soil was like at our new place. They are thriving and I cannot wait till the time is right to plant some more.
The depression glass jewelery box I already had. But can you believe that one of my tenants was flying back to N.Z yesterday and she didn’t want to take the alcohol with her so she gave it to me. I wanted the bottle not the alcohol of course. Mind you I poured a glass of the gin last night and I quite enjoyed it.
I also manged some nice furniture finds which I will post about later. The weather here is that dull I hope the sun is shining where ever you are.

I just love that colour! So vibrant and calming at the same time. I don't like gin and don't drink, but I've been tempted for the longest time to buy a bottle, purely for, well, the bottle. Now maybe I will, lol.

Sandy, What beauties you picked up. I think it is hysterical that the lady gave you the bottle of gin! How funny is that- and a perfect match to your other pieces. Lucky girl! Diana

I'm not a drinker either however I would buy a bottle just for keepsakes! Your roses are beautiful. I envy you being able to grow them. I have tried over the years however they hate the humidity in the tropics and end up with so much black spot. I can admire yours however (even if I can't smell them!) ;)Sharyne

I too love turquoise. They say that turquoise is for healing so, given your recent posts, I am not surprised that you are being drawn to it. As a bonus, it looks stunning with the white furniure.
