I have always re-covered these little stools in floral shabby fabrics but this time I opted for something a little different. I had some left over linen in the cupboard grabbed my number stencils and some black acryclic paint and away I went. My first attempt at painting on linen.
The base was sanded and stained.
Some black trim added to set it off.

Hi Sandy! Oh, this is a cute redo on the little stool! Now the question is – what happened in 1959? Let's see, I was 8 years old! 🙂
Be a sweetie,
Shelia 😉

So clever as always Sandy, just lovely. Btw, how are your painted floors holding up? Thinking it might be a good solution to replace my yukky carpet before summer arrives. I'd love to know how it's working for you. K xx

Good to see you branching out Sandy;o) I'm not sure you really need my upholstery services, you have done an excellent job on that stool! You're right, the contrasting braid does finish it off nicely.
