Pine Drawer Makeover

This week has flown by and we cannot quite believe what mother nature has delivered once again to Queensland. First the floods now a cyclone how much more can one state take.
You may remember these drawers from some time ago. They were green and totally not my thing at all. They have been sitting in the shed all this time until last weekend when my sons said “mum you need to paint these”.
So here they all are completed and in their white glory. Think I might change the knobs over to some nice nickel ones but for now the white will do.

This gorgeous bevilled mirror is stunning and huge. I love the basket of flowers and have never seen one quite so large with all the beautiful detail before.

It's come up really nice. Nickel knobs will look good. Shame the green wasn't a differenct shade. It looks much better now.

I actually don't mind the green but of course the white looks great. Good to see apples in the bowl. My fruit bowl is empty apart from a couple of wrinkled old lemons, it's just so exspensive at the moment!

I painted a set of drawers that I have had for years last week…The funny thing is when I got them they were white and I sanded them back to the natural wood….I love that mirror I havn't seen any like it before…

Hi Sandy, thank you for sharing this; it has helped me see mine finished in my mind!! LOL! I have just been given back an old chest of draws we lent our precious daughter and son-in-law a couple of years ago. I want to restore it by painting it white and perhaps painting some roses on the front of it! So you have once again inspired me, thank you!!!

I had to take a second look at the new chest, it's hard to believe that depth of green was eliminated and the chest is reborn in white.
It looks wonderful & I love the mirror, it's so charming.

Sandy what an improvement! The dresser is lovely. I've seen so many white paint transformations (done quite a few) but I NEVER get sick of them. I like your styling in this shot with the fresh green apples, and that mirror is stunning!! x

Sandy you are dead right about mother nature, she can leave this part of the world alone now for a while I reckon!

The drawers of course look much better in white, what a lot of work to strip them back that must have been. The mirror is stunning, I have never seen anything like it.
